Adam and his colleagues spent a week living in a tented camp at the school and assisting with the building work. Not only were they physically involved in the building project, but they also each raised in excess of £10,000 for the charity, Supporting Nepal’s Children, which was used to fund the cost of building the six seismically safe classroom blocks which replaced ones that were badly damaged or destroyed by the earthquake.
In December 2021, Hazel Grace representing Supporting Nepal’s Children (SNC) attended the formal hand over of the building to the School Management Committee by the Nepal Youth Foundation. (formal partner for this project)
The Covid19 Pandemic hit the charity sector hard at a time when the need for their services is ever increasing, the team at Kingfisher House Wealth Management accepted the “My Virtual Mission” challenge with a view to raising funds to provide additional support during these challenging times.
“My Virtual Mission” is a virtual fitness challenge platform designed to get us moving more and striving towards a fitness goal whilst undertaking a “journey” to an incredible country.
Our Mission commenced on Monday, 1st March 2021 and finished on Friday, 30th April 2021.
During this period Alison and Becky each undertook a virtual 150 mile walk from the base of the snow-capped Andes mountains between Bolivia and Peru to the lost City of Machu Picchu. Adam and Marco each completed a virtual 150 mile run in Cape Town – one of the world’s most exciting cities. That is a grand total of 600 miles combined from the team.
Due to all the great support from our clients and friends we raised a total of £8,760 with matching plus gift aid.
Together with our St. James's Place colleagues (there were 940 participants), we travelled 176,660.4 miles and raised in excess of £392,000 with matching plus gift aid for the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation- although this total continues to rise daily.

Panathlon is a national charity which gives young people with disabilities and special educational needs every year the opportunity to take part in competitive sport.
Panathlon’s swimming programme helps introduce young people with disabilities and special needs to the water – often for the first time - and build their confidence and skills. Since its launch in 2013, they’ve had to expand their programme every year to cope with the demand to participate in the galas. They have separate competitions for primary and secondary ages as well as impairment-specific events (deaf, visually impaired etc).
On 23rd May, Adam volunteered at the Panathlon Gala held at Workington Leisure Centre.
